Led by singer and guitarist Al Schmid, SONS OF GOOSE unites five absolute veterans of the Swiss music scene: Al Schmid (Vocals, Guitar), John Kohlberg (Guitar), Oliver Meckmann (Keyboards), Dave Eichenberger (Bass), and Sascha Kammermann (Drums). These musicians have already left their mark in bands such as Lockstoff, Mash, Trybguet, Steem, and Stranded Heroes, playing hundreds of concerts and celebrating various chart successes with their albums.

When asked about the band’s musical DNA, Al Schmid explains: «I always had a broad taste in music, in which guitar-driven music held great significance. At the same time, it was always the songs—choruses and melodies that stick—that drove me. Naturally, my favorite bands have left their mark on our songs. I hear Biffy Clyro and Foo Fighters, but also Nine Inch Nails.»

Despite their collected experience, SONS OF GOOSE clearly focuses on contemporary production and thematic depth. The songs deal with the ruptures and challenges of modern life—with decisions one makes and the consequences that follow. Or, as Al Schmid says with a wink: «Love, death, and rockets.» This lyrical maturity, paired with the musical intensity, sets the band apart from many other rock acts and creates an emotional resonance that extends far beyond the genre.

The new era of SONS OF GOOSE was impressively launched with the release of their first three singles: «Lie to me», «Fuzzinator» and «Shooting Stars». These songs have already received international attention and have landed on indie radio playlists in various countries. They are the first harbingers of the upcoming album, which is planned for Spring 2026.
